Last night Helen Mabberley and I attended the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Banchory and Ternan. We had been invited to attend the event to talk to the club’s members about the work that Malaria No More UK does to raise awareness and funds to help save lives from malaria in Africa.

We were treated to a dinner and were sat beside the new President of the club before speaking, playing our Ghana report back film and taking questions from the floor. We were given an exceptionally warm welcome and were extremely grateful to be presented with a very generous cheque for £4,300, together with some other personal donations, which was raised by the club through their work with the Crathes Vintage Motorcycle and Car Rally that I attended early this year. The Rotary Club of Stonehaven had also very kindly made a donation.
It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the club members and we were touched by their warm welcome and hospitality. The club has very kindly agreed to support Malaria No More UK again next year.
