ONE rocks with DAUGHTRY in Phoenix
Last week ONE volunteers in the Phoenix-Metro area met up at the DAUGHTRY concert to recruit new ONE members. Eight volunteers brought their energy and enthusiasm to encourage fans to make a stand against poverty and preventable disease. Over the course of about three hours, hundreds of DAUGHTRY fans from far and wide signed up over 365 new ONE members!
Volunteers gave out wristbands, stickers, pins, info booklets and flyers about an upcoming ONE workshop in Phoenix. DAUGHTRY fans were excited to sign up. In typical ONE fashion, those who joined came from all walks of life. Our first sign-up was a server from Saddle Ranch, and another was one of the arena security guards.
It’s no question that Arizonans are concerned about the moral obligations and national security implications of extreme poverty. Stable countries are able to meet the basic needs for their citizens to ensure international and cross border stability. Many people do not realize that 1.4 billion people around the world are not living under stable conditions. Last week at the DAUGHTRY concert, we added over 300 members to join ONE in an effort to make sure we do something about it. We will continue to make an impact on the hearts and minds of Arizonans at concerts, town halls, and around communities to make sure we grow the ONE membership base.
