Millennium Development Goals Summit

Ten years ago world leaders united behind a set of eight key goals to improve the state of the world by 2015 – the “Millennium Development Goals” (MDGs).
This week, two-thirds of the way into this global endeavour, the UN Secretary General has gathered world leaders together once again for a MDG summit meeting in New York. This meeting will review both how far we have progressed over the last ten years and what more is needed in the push to reach these key goals by 2015.
