Although the band has a seriously crazy schedule filled with press interviews, TV appearances, gigs and all the trappings of fame and stardom, they’ve always found the time to express their commitment to ending extreme poverty and preventable disease.

Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour speaks out to make malaria no more

Youssou N’Dour, one of the most celebrated African musicians in history played for one night only at London’s Barbican last night. Youssou is on the Board for Malaria No More and took time out from promoting his new album to talk about how he is using world music to educate people about malaria prevention in Africa and to raise awareness about malaria in the UK & US. Youssou’s interview ran this morning on BBC Radio four’s flagship programme; Today. Listen again to the interview.
